Nearly two months into our adventure and we still don’t have a site up. There are approximately 25 pieces of content written, 18 more in the queue and a laundry list (handwashed, naturally) of other ideas kept loosely in an Excel spreadsheet.
Needless to say, we’re having an incredible time but have been so busy with projects, work and getting settled into our new place that it’s left little time to nail down exactly how we want to put FTF together.
We know we want photos. We know we originally wanted video. But we now know that’s a crazy amount of work and practically impossible to make happen authentically without inviting a friend with a camera to come stay with us for the year.
Any takers? We have room…
Plus, as our new blog will mention, internet here is…not what us spoiled city kids are used to.
Things will get less busy. We will have (okaaaay, make) more time. But for right now I’m simply savouring how blissfully happy the hens – and our new rooster, Blue – are, the accomplishment of getting a pint of milk out of Pickles the goat, making and sharing ridiculously delicious yeasted banana bread made from scratch, and how much the bees are appreciating our well attended to herb garden.
Life is good. Life is better than good, and I wouldn’t change a thing.
More to come…at the new URL…very soon…we promise.
In the meantime, I should probably get back to these three cords of firewood.
