As if I’m going to cook tonight
So, cooking is pretty much on hold until I get my kitchen in order and organized. What a mess…I’m not sure how we accumulated this many pots and pans, but they are all over the place. Hand-me-downs, impulse purchases and wedding gifts…have made it impossible to squeeze everything into our teeny new cooking oasis.
It feels good to be “settled” though – straddling two apartments was getting a little bit old (“I think I’ll make some…oh wait.” “Where are my slippers..?”) and it was really time to say goodbye and be done with that chapter of our lives.
As predicted…artsy friends were visibly unimpressed with our IKEA artwork.
Now there’s less time for organizing (and Melrose Place – we plowed through Season 2 in a weekend. AMAZING.) and more time for getting prepped for 2009. Lots of planning, writing, working to be done. It’s a good time for focus.
