A Chapter Closes
I’ve been thinking about this post a lot over the last couple of weeks.
Typical of a relationship you try to save by changing the person, I attempted for a while (actually over a month now) to turn what once was a forum for writing into a pseudo daily photoblog. It worked for a bit, and I’ve been delighted to note that the number of people paying attention, either through visits or RSS, has grown once again. Almost to where things once were when I had the time and desire to post my thoughts semi-regularly.
But in order to do one thing right (i.e. be a photoblog), I’d be compromising the last two and a half years I spent using Debanter to ponder and vent…reflect…and most importantly be creative/thoughtful with my writing. This blog has been an incredible outlet for getting over some pretty paralyzing writers block as well as documenting important transitions and milestones in my life and career.
So instead of compromising, I’ll be transitioning over to a new blog, dedicated to my newly rediscovered delight in photography…Debanter will still stay up and running as is, with the occasional post from me…maybe. Possibly. Down the road, when…if…I want to.
If you’ve enjoyed the photos I’ve been posting here, you can check out Girl With Camera, subscribe to the new RSS feed or visit my flickr profile for even more photo-y goodness.
Thanks, for everything. That’s all, folks.
