Sensible chaos with Stickies and a little bit of iTunes flair
December 29th, 2007 RachelAs I wrap up for the day and plan for tomorrow, here is a peek at 3/4 of my desktop. A little tase of organized clutter that both drives me nuts and reaffirms that it has been a productive fourteen hours or so.

I use stickies to make notes about colors, dimensions, words I like/dislike, tasks to be done and things that I can finally check off my list. Better than paper (though I still like my little pink organizer for my purse), because paper task lists I tend to scribble down…and forget about. The number of yellow legal pads I have with notes that haven’t been looked at since is…well, let’s not go there.
There is probably an equivalent tool on PC, and I suppose TextEdit might work all the same…but I have to say, this is one of my favorite discoveries since becoming a Mac convert (not to pour salt in the wound, Jenn). But now that I think of it, stickies is probably second - the iTunes Artwork screensaver is really my #1 favorite Mac treat. But don’t worry, Jenn - I found that for your Windows machine as well. It’s almost the same as having a Mac.
Okay, not really. But I tried.
This past month I’ve also actually made time to reorganize my digital folders/files, back things up, and for the most part keep my desktop icon count down to under ten…ish things. On a good day.
Have I mentioned enough how much I love my computer?
