As I wrap up for the day and plan for tomorrow, here is a peek at 3/4 of my desktop. A little tase of organized clutter that both drives me nuts and reaffirms that it has been a productive fourteen hours or so.

I use stickies to make notes about colors, dimensions, words I like/dislike, tasks to be done and things that I can finally check off my list. Better than paper (though I still like my little pink organizer for my purse), because paper task lists I tend to scribble …

The nice thing about tools that run rampant across this interwebbly thing called the “Internets” is that you connect with a whole lot of people with whom you otherwise wouldn’t have the means or a reason to cross paths. Some people use these tools to make friends. Other people keep up on what’s happening in the world, and appreciate the human-ness of it all (minus the fact that ‘it all’ is happening on a screen).

I admit, there’s been an overabundance of kitten gracing these (web)pages. Part of working being at home this week, I suppose.

And I’m probably feeling needy and more attached to my furballs since Scubahood went to fishy heaven last week (R.I.P. little man).
Anyway…
On Tuesday we determined that the dining room table was pretty much useless - literally, we never ever use it. So, the dining room table was magically transformed into a desk for me. Sweet beans!

Hilarious story from Ernie about setting up his mom’s new computer. My favorite part:
Ernie: And here you go. Look, it even has Yahoo! Taiwan on the front page! You don’t even have to type anything.
Mom: I don’t want Yahoo!. I want the one with the butterflies.
“The one with the butterflies,” of course, is MSN.com, the service she had when my parents were on dial-up.
