I’ve almost completed the migration over to my Macbook - except for learning the in’s and out’s of the blogging application my darling hubby purchased for me. So, until then, I’ll be posting from this here PC, before I bid a fond farewell and completing my cross-over to the dark side.
So if posts are a little spotty for the time being (i.e. this weekend when I won’t have the monster Toshiba on me)…go listen to this delicious Stars remix and relax…it’ll all be better soon, I promise (right Adam?).

I can’t decide if she knows exactly what she’s doing, or if she really is on the verge of truly losing it. Somewhere in the back of my mind whenever Anna Nicole Smith came up in the news I always hoped that she really was smarter than that. That she was ‘dumb’ because it was profitable and in the end all the people who snickered at her antics, vapidness (vapidity?), and ‘issues’…didn’t matter because she was the one laughing all the way to the bank. But even if that was once true, it’s becoming more and more apparent that there were systemic problems that couldn’t be waved off…couldn’t be silenced by painkillers and champagne…couldn’t go away.
Is she rebuilding herself from scratch in front of a media presence that wouldn’t leave her alone regardless? Or is this a further pitiful step down a dangerous path…that can only end badly? I’m hopeful for the former - for the kids, and oddly enough for her. This is getting harder and harder to laugh at because it’s one thing to be rich and acting stupid…and it’s quite another to be losing your sanity in public. Let’s hope she gets it together and in six months is on the cover of People magazine talking about how she “hauled herself up from despair and regained her sense of who she is”…or something like that.

Great night on Friday out at Hotel Cafe. We went to support The Guggenheim
Grotto, a fantastic band out of Dublin. They were awesome - charasmatic guys with an outstanding sound. Five songs are available for download on their website; I suggest purchasing the album though for my favorite song, Told You So.
When we first got there, Lovers Electric had already been on for 45 minutes or so - w
ow, I wish we’d gotten there sooner because what we did catch was seriously amazing. So much energy, interesting and beautiful - a new favorite that both Adam and I can enjoy (imagine that!).
Anyway, after their set we went and talked to Eden who was extremely nice, and took home their EP, single and one of the many pins they had (Eden likes choices). The packaging was clearly developed with Eden’s fashion background in mind - vinyl stitched together to create the ‘case’ with a ribbon tied around the single and four (I think?) different design options for the EP. Memorable and worth saving (I’ve already caught one kitten trying to go for the ribbon…).
Methinks we’ll end up back over there on March 2 to see them again…
Oh, and new Feist-y yumminess for your ears - it’s a lovely weekend.

Interesting questions, and I’m sure what will be some interesting results happening over on Coolfer. If you buy music, you should take this survey. I’m curious as to what other places they’re asking for participants…as I imagine people who read music blog(s) are probably skewed in certain directions.
Hopefully they’ll post the results — I wonder how they would correlate with the thoughts and mindsets of folks a few years back…and a few years before that…and a few years before…
