This interests me. Reading the description, I’m immediately thinking “YES - academia is thinking of me.”
But then I hesitate - we’ve all been in those classes. The ones that are ‘on the edge’ but aren’t really on the edge because they were planned out twelve months prior so by the time your butt is in a seat the content is woefully outdated.
For $225 I’m tempted to give them the benefit of the doubt, but at the same time I’m wondering if I could learn the same things just as easily by bouncing around online. Is it the experience that would make the difference? The boost of seeing some big names speak? Maybe. We’ll see.

I’m not sure if we’ll do the same, but the more I think about this idea, the more it grows on me.
Chris Pirillo and Latthana “Ponzi Indharasophang tied the knot tonight at a wonderful wedding ceremony in Bellevue, Washington. Of course, being the incurable bloggers that they are, they both had their wedding vows scheduled to automatically post their their blogs during the ceremony right at the actual time that they were saying them (Chris’ vows & Ponzi’s vows).
Very cute.

“Then you and Court will be able to talk with the video camera right on the computer.”
“Yeah, we’ll probably do that anyway before I get mine, using your Mac.”
“Would you get the white or the black one?”
pause
“I dunno…well, that black one is pretty slick looking.”
“OH. MY. GOD.”
“I know! I know! I’m fully aware of the idiot tax…I know it’s not really much different other than that. I KNOW this…but I still like the black one.”
“You’re going to be made fun of at work so much.”
“The white one looks like it scuffs easily.”
“Hey, if you can stand the laughing and pointing…it’s all yours.”
pause
“I’ll blog about it. And then make a decision.”
“You’re nuts.”
“I know.”
