"Arrestingly delicious" smelling waffle cone spray? Sounds good to me…though I’m not sure the actual spray would bring on the pounds. Rather the inevitable "I need to make a pitstop at Cold Stone Creamery…stat…" reaction might be what cancels out any time spent on the treadmill.
Still, it’s a fun thought.

During my hiatus from blogging, I found a few new albums to enjoy -
Boy Kill Boy - Civilian
Editors - The Back Room
Elefant - The Black Magic Show
Clap Your Hands Say Yeah - self titled
Amy Millan - Honey From The Tombs
Pretty Girls Make Graves - Elan Vital
The iOs - In Sunday Songs
…and I’m sure there’s more, but those ones stand out as highlights of what I’ve been listening to lately (along with my usual Stars, Tegan and Sara, free sampler rotations…)

I started running again last week.
I know, interesting, huh? Well, maybe not (okay definitely not) but that fact runs parallel with my aim to get back into the blogging swing. It’s 2:17pm on a Tuesday in sunny California. I don’t want to take too much time here, but I do want to leave a teeny footprint to solidify my objective in my mind. While I may not be able to blog as much as I’d like to, just as I’ll never have the time or energy to be as fit as I’d like to be, I’d like to commit to the effort.
It’s been months since I last wrote, and lots has happened. During that time I felt a bit stifled, a bit inhibited and pretty much wasn’t in the mindset to make sense, even to myself. After a much needed adjustment period, I’m finally feeling like things are balancing out again. What was I writing about in my previous blog-centric life? Mostly school, scheming with my Globetrotrz team to fulfill our potential as dot.com masterminds, and a smattering of jokes, articles on the web, etc. The usual.
Which brings me to where I would like to go from here. I’m no longer a student (in the "get into movie at a reduced rate" sense…the receipt in my inbox for a premium marketingprofs membership and rapt attention/jumbled scribbling during Seth Godin’s online seminar this morning…yeah, I’ll still be a student in the broader sense for a long time yet). The Globetrotrz team has dispersed, but hopefully we’ll be working together again sometime in the future. Life has changed immensely, and I don’t think I could have adequately conveyed that in a series of blog posts. I’m still a newbie.
So, like my new running schedule, I’m putting myself on a blogging schedule - at least two posts a day, hopefully at two points in the day. Interesting articles, some real life examples, and potentially a few funny jokes…but mostly I’ll be writing as someone who’s learning (see, still a student!), wants to share that learning, and wants to have a place to go back and revisit some of these things I’m picking up along the way.
Time to get back to work. But I’ll be back tonight.
After my run.
