What I learned this weekend
March 13th, 2006 Rachel1. Some things from IKEA require power tools…even though they’d never say that (or rather offer pictures) with such a message.
2. My friend Kelly is very brave!!!
3. Austin is a beautiful, richly cultural city…I think I could be here for years and still not see it all.
4. I had not had Mexican food before. Not like that.
5. Clif bars are now going to be a staple in my life. Especially the mountain mix one. MMMMMMMMM.
6. I’m now going to have to come to Austin to get my hair cut and my bangs trimmed. If you’re from Austin, I have all of his information - send me an email; he is AWESOME and super friendly, able to train you how to do what he does.
7. Different booths will have different things/tools/techniques they are using to draw you in - some are creative, some are well founded and some just crash and burn. But if people are noticing, then it’s a damn fine job done.
8. I [heart] business cards…my first ones!!
9. I *really* wouldn’t be sad to never see snow again (though I might change my mind if I were in this climate during, say, July).
10. There is a SONG about jeans. Well, not quite about jeans; actually shirts really get the spotlight. But jeans get a verse.
