Thank You
March 2nd, 2006 RachelThank You Stars.
For putting your heart and soul into your lyrics.
For doing it YOUR way.
For allowing me to bring my camera in, so that even if I couldn’t always see you very well because of the 7ft tall guy who stepped in front of me right befor Elevator Love Song, I could still raise my arm and capture that moment for always.
For introducing me to Magnet.
For fighting through the little bit of microphone feedback. And still being amazing regardless.
For being so captivating that being on my feet for the last 3 hours didn’t matter once you came on stage. Soaking up the sounds of your voices, guitars, drums, violin, keyboard, and occassional trumpet or harmonica…made it 100% worthwhile.
For having memorobilia available and affordable.
For not winning an "Indie Award" and doing so with grace - didn’t matter, without a doubt you were the reason 90% of the people in that room were there.
For not being Arcade Fire - they’re music may be good, but their acceptance speeches…oh wait, what acceptance speech?

For being Stars.
Thank you.
[Pictures and video clips from Magnet and Stars should be up later tonite. For now, the album of photos are also posted here, on Facebook.]
