What I learned this weekend
February 20th, 2006 Rachel1. Working with electrical wires is complicated.
2. The urge to sneeze while brushing my teeth is inconvenient. And messy.
3. Social Networking websites, like Facebook, can really connect people and build/reinvigorate a friendship. It can also bring out the most vindictive, cruel side of people…in a very public manner.
4. If I break something made of glass with my bare hands, I may (and did) bleed…but I’m also secretly a little proud of the fact that I "still got it".
5. Old School is like a fine wine…it’s only getting better each time we watch it.
6. There are many different types of lighter fluid. But only one type that is suitable for a fondue pot.
7. They’re still running a variation of the "New York City???" advertisements for Pace salsa.
8. Ice cream with little tiny pieces of frozen nutella is a marvelously tasty hidden treasure of a flavor.
9. The brunt of the aforementioned vindictiveness reacted with an impressive degree of gutsiness, self confidence and class. I’m very proud to call her my friend.
10. Going to the same hairdresser as your significant other has definite perks - you have a say in what they do (and definitely don’t do) to said significant other’s head even when you’re not there (note: this only works when you’re the one with the pricier hair regime…so guys, prolly 9 times out of 10 you’re out of luck).
