Sonnet o’ Jeans
February 14th, 2006 RachelIn honor of the professional procrastinator, here she goes…
My jeans make me so happy I could cry
To say they’re only clothes would be a lie
I wake each morn to greet my denim friends
Oh what will be when our affair must end?
Zip up my fly and then the day begins.
One day this will not be, to my chagrin…
You pair so nicely with a white t-shirt
Your jacket sister compliments my skirt
Those pocket gems dress up this casual pair
With you there is no question what to wear
Take all my jeans and put them in a pile
You’ll see me cuddle up with a big smile.
Oh jeans, you are the best thing around here
I end this poem with one last stonewashed
cheer!
Feel free to add commentary on my iambic pentametar (or for how completely insane I am…whatever strikes your fancy!)
I expect meatball induced spirit finger dancing in a random IKEA display kitchen, Court!
